Komikon 2008 this Saturday!
Friday, November 21, 2008

As usual, the Komikon will be held at UP Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman. IAS will be having a booth there where we will be having a live demo of coloring and pencilling. I will be selling my SEKSI Yearless Calendar there. Drop by and say hi! Here’s the floor plan:
(Not only will I be going there with Marv and Kei, Mico Suayan of Moon Knight fame will be joining us as well *teehee!*)
My Christmas Wishlist
Here’s a small list of things that I want to get for Christmas. To you people (and by “people” I mean Marv, Kei, and my sis LOL!) who are planning to refer to this list for Christmas gift ideas for lil ole me, do please discuss it with one another so the gifts won’t double. KTHX!!!11one
The Pastel Journal 2007 Issues on CD

All the 2007 issues of The Pastel Journal in one CD! You can order it here.
Paperblank Journal + Cretacolor Primo

Yes, I want it as a set, so sue me. For the paperblank journal, I thought about it for quite a while now and I ended up liking their handstitched series alot. The pages and cover are bound together with string and opening the book fully to sketch on it offers little to no resistance as opposed to the other books which are bound tightly. Please make sure that it is the unlined version because I’m going to use it for sketching with the Cretacolor Primo drawing set.

The Cretacolor Primo Basic Drawing set contains six Creta drawing pencils - Graphite 4B watersoluble, white chalk, sanguine and sepia chalk, charcoal and smudge-proof carbon black.
You can find both of them at Fullybooked in Bonifacio High Street *teehee!* (the journal is located on the 1st floor near the cashier and the cretacolor set is found in the art supplies section on the basement level. see how thorough I am?)
Sky Doll Spaceship Collection

From my favorite artist tandem (Alessandro Barbucci and Barbara Canepa) comes this special collection of Sky Doll stories. Each of the stories in the comic was illustrated by different artists whose names escape me at the moment because it’s not easy looking for english info on the book. I’m not sure if the english version has been released by Marvel yet. Times like these, I wish I lived in Europe or at least took my French lessons seriously back in High School.
Hit the jump for the rest of my Christmas Wishlist!
My Colorgenics Profile
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
You are the sort of person that needs a peaceful environment. You seek release from stress and freedom from conflicts and disagreements, of which you seem to have had more than your fair share. But you are taking pains to control the situation by proceeding cautiously and you are right in doing so as you are a very sensitive person.
Now there are many things in life that you require as essential to your well-being but, try as you may, something always seems to be getting in your way. A word of advice - ‘keep trying’ and you may be pleasantly surprised to see just how matters turn out.
Many people will consider you egotistical and full of your own self importance. On the surface you could well give this impression and perhaps the reason for this complacent attitude is because at times you indeed have that ’short fuse’ and are quick to take offence.
You pretend that you are a carefree individual and that nothing really bothers you - that you are so self-sufficient that whatever problems beset you they simply flow off you as water flows off a ducks back. You are experiencing considerable stress, trying to conceal yourself from the rest of the world. In actual fact - deep down, you are not at all happy. You feel lonely and you need someone with whom you can ‘Let your hair down’ and share your hopes, dreams and high standards. You are imposing unnecessary self restraint on yourself. You would like to demonstrate the unique quality of your character to all and sundry.
Since in the recent past all of your hopes and aspirations have been denied you, you are now convinced that the future will hold nothing but anxiety so therefore ‘why bother?’ You would love to get away from it all, to escape from the trials and tribulations of this mundane existence and fall into a peaceful and harmonious relationship, which will protect you from the lack of appreciation and give you the chance to start afresh.
The accuracy of this test freaks me out (refer to previous post). Check out your Colorgenics Profile here.
Updates (or rather lack thereof)
GAH! There are so many things that I want to blog about but I just don’t feel like getting down to it. I’m feeling so damned lazy and uninspired lately and I blame it on stress. I just want to drop everything and not worry about anything at all, which is why I really can’t wait for the holidays (granted, we only get a week off work but holidays are holidays and any free time that I can get for myself I’ll gladly take). Too many things have happened this year and I really just want it to end. 2008, you have been one heck of a crazy roller coaster ride. I’m really looking forward to a better year next year.
Things I should’ve blogged about but haven’t done so yet:
- Ellana mineral make up review (concealers, brushes, intensive foundation)
- Charm Flat Top and Eye Shadow Brush review
- Fasio Oil Cleanser review
- Fasio Mascara review
- Fallout 3 rant/rave/review
- Little Big Planet impressions (haven’t played it much)
- My Christmas wishlist
Seven posts! Argh! *crawls into her bed and weeps*
Pepper Project to be Released this November
Thursday, November 13, 2008
My art is included in IFS’s (Imaginary Friends Studio) The Pepper Project so please grab a copy if you happen to be in Singapore. Otherwise, you could order it at their online store (which has yet to be set up, but you can wait, can’t you?). Again, this happened to be another contest this year which earned me a spot in the book so I’m pretty psyched to get my free copy. This is my entry:
