Say "Hello" to my Little Friend
Thursday, July 31, 2008 Seeing how great i.ph is, I harassed invited a friend of mine to open up her own account here as well. Do drop by and say hello! She’s an artist (like me!) with mad skillz (like me!). Ho, ho, ho! Er, yeah, so click on the image already:
New Look!
I’m currently fiddling around with my blog’s template because I don’t want it to look so noob-y using the provided i.ph templates. What you see so far, as of this post, is 100% made by moi but I think I’ll be adding a bit more graphics to the background. You can see the complete image of the chick on my banner here.
I’m liking i.ph alot. Everything is so intuitive and customization is a cinch. And that says alot since HTML codes drive me nuttier than I already am.
Clear Makeup from Philosophy
So kill me. I found yet another rather intriguing beauty product while browsing the net (curse you World Wide Web! And you too Boredom!) this time from Philosophy.
The Present Clear Makeup gives your skin an “airbrushed look”, smoothening out your wrinkles/fine lines as well as large pores. Recommended for oily skin and apparently originally designed to cover vulnerable skin after dermabrasion and acid skin peels.
Okay. I have large pores, oily skin, and my skin is flaking off in a totally freaky way at the moment thanks to the acid skin peel my dermatologist administered to me last weekend (yes, all that doesn’t paint a very pretty picture of me but I predict that my old skin will completely shed off by Friday. Go away. Kthxbai.) so this product sounds perfect!
Of course, as with any other product, I did my research and read up on reviews online (which are, for the most part, positive and yes, I use too many brackets in one post) so I’m not just going to buy this just because it sounded good on the Philosophy website. I must try it myself! And if it doesnt work out, I’ll probably give it to my mom or sell it or something.
Oh, and ladies who are interested in the products that I’m blogging about here, do note that I will also be making my personal reviews about them once I get my claws on them. And if I have the cash, of course. But if you are willing to supply me with beauty products for free for me to try out, that would really, really be nice of you *bats eyelashes*
This product actually reminds me of a BB Cream I’m currently using with a few differences here and there. What the hell is a BB Cream? That is reserved for another post!
My Art on Udon’s Street Fighter Tribute
Wednesday, July 30, 2008UDON Entertainment’s Street Fighter Tribute is a special volume of original illustrations from artists all around the globe, professionals and fans alike, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Street Fighter franchise.
Inside are over 200 brand new pieces portraying the Street Fighter cast in a dizzying array of styles and designs, from ultra-rendered realistic paintings through to abstract and iconic. This is a video game art gallery in a book, bursting with inspiration and energy.
Fans of UDON, comics, video games, concept art and anime will all find Street Fighter Tribute an exciting new vision of the World Warriors, brought to you by the studio that introduced a new generation of fans to the magic of CAPCOM.
Udon finally gave us artists the go signal to show off (er…”post”) our submissions for their Street Fighter Tribute Art Book in our personal galleries/websites since the books were already being sold at the San Diego Comic Con. Here’s mine:
Elena at the Beach by Shelly Soneja
Elena was drawn traditionally with pencil and paper. She was then scanned into the computer, then digitally inked and slapped with colors using Photoshop 7. *bows*
UPDATE: Check out my latest entry on this topic here, where I finally receive the book!
