The Pastel Journal
Wednesday, November 5, 2008
I’m so psyched that I finally received my copy of The Pastel Journal magazine today after waiting for a month. This particular magazine is a back issue dating all the way back to December 2005 (issue no.41). As you can see from the image on the left, it’s the Special Portrait Issue <insert fangirl squee here> and it gives great tips from painting realistic skin tones to finding a mentor. I sure wish I had a mentor.
I’ve browsed through this magazine quickly and I have decided that I will include a subscription to this magazine in my upcoming Christmas wishlist. It’s very hard to find this magazine locally, so the only way for me to get my grubby paws on it is to order it online. Such a hassle for poor little ol’ me. Oh, how it would be so much easier to be subscribed for one year *cough* *nudge* *wink*.

It’s expensive, but not as expensive as some of the international copies of men magazines devoid of intellectual content.

It’s not that expensive for an art magazine though so I actually find the price quite cheap. ImagineFX, a digital art magazine, has a price range of P800-P1000+
Posted by sh3lly at November 6, 2008, 9:39 pmThat Photoshop magazine that I often find in Greenhills (forgot what it’s called) is over P1000. Which is why I never buy them.
