Ka-Ching!

As you all probably gathered from my previous post, I’m hella bored. However, there’s just one itty-bitty thing that I’ve been looking forward to and that is: SHOPPING.

I don’t know why but it’s been my most recent occupation as of late (my credit cards can attest to that) and for some weird reason it gives me a sense of satisfaction, albeit temporary. Yes, I know that times are tough and we should all learn to tighten our belts but please bear with me. It’s what I do in the mean time considering that I’m having a major case of artist’s block.

So these are three beauty products that I’m itching to buy when payday rolls around:

Now, people who know me know that I love smelling like food. Ok, that didn’t sound right, but it’s true nonetheless (I’m talking sweet scents not stuff like garlic and durian, smart-ass). My favorite scent is Vanilla, after all, so imagine my delight when I stumbled into Cake Beauty online.

They have the most delicious sounding products and are, apparently, almost 100% natural.  They are also 100% paraben and petrochemical free! Yay! Not that I know anything about paraben and petrochemicals.

So anyway, I was looking for a body scrub and this particular one caught my eye. Citrus Squeeze Sinfully Smoothing Brown Sugar Body Scrub is a mouthful, yes, but it sounds yummy and is packed with brown sugar, vitamin rich and essential oils as well as moisturizing butters. Sounds perfect for my dry skin. I just hope it’s as good as it sounds.

 2. Desserted Island by Cake Beauty

Another product by Cake Beauty that I want to get.

Desserted Island: Supremely Rich Bath and Shower Froth contains pure virgin oil de coco creme and Tahitian Vanilla scent. Mmm. I will use this on the days when I’m not exfoliating with the body scrub.

Cake Beauty is available in all Beauty Bar outlets.

3. Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm

I must be constantly dehydrated because my lips seem to chap for, like, ever. I have to apply lip balm every few minutes. I’m currently using Skinfood’s Shea Butter Lip Care Bar and while it is quite effective, I feel like trying out something new.

Burt’s Bees are quite famous for their Lip Balms so I’m going to give one of their products a try.

The Replenishing Lip Balm contains pomegranate oil and, according to some reviews, glides on more smoothly compared to the original wax lip balm.
